Dreaming the Bronze Girl
Book Description
On many levels, Serina Allison Hearn's voice is one caught between two worlds: Tobago and Kansas, the ocean and the soil, black and white, native and European, logic and love, male and female, responsibility and freedom. Her poems bring to her readers a delicate melding of loss and hope, pain and ecstasy.
Her poems, Michael Carey writes, "are hard, beautiful shells in which we can hear the ocean of her heart roaring."
