The Mid-America Press, Inc. publishes 1-5 book-length poetry collections per year.  At present, the Press is not reading unsolicited book-length poetry manuscripts.  The Mid-America Press Writing Award Competition has been discontinued until further notice.  Mid-America Press, Inc. award-winning publications include From Ink and Sandalwood (1998) by Cecile M. Franking (winner of the 1999 Thorpe Menn Award for Writing Excellence); Red Silk (1999) by Maryfrances Wagner (winner of the 2000 Thorpe Menn Award for Writing Excellence); Living Off the Land, a Gathering of Writing from The Warrensburg Writers Circle (1999) edited by Robert C. Jones (First Place in The 2000 Walter Williams Major Word Award, from the Missouri Writers' Guild).  Other publications include Pear Season & The Boy Who Ate Dandelions (2006) by Bill Bauer, The Door Into the Dream (2006) by Jeanie Wilson and Thomas Zvi Wilson, Three Faces of Autumn, a Charles Guenther Retrospective (2006) edited by Robert C. Jones, and Two- & Three-Part Inventions (2007) by Robert C. Jones.
